Nonlinear Dynamic Responses of a Rotor-Bearing System with Eccentric Squeeze Film Dampers

A squeeze film damper (SFD) is a commonly used component in aeroengine support structures. However, eccentric SFDs are often employed practical applications. Existing research this field has mainly focused on simple rotor models and frequency-domain solution techniques. In study, system tester with without an SFD was built, simulation model based the finite element method fixed interface modal synthesis proposed. Then, nonlinear dynamic response of during run-up run-down studied model. The results show that affords zero frequency series double frequencies response. An may cause increase critical speed, amplitude jump, displacement oscillation run-up/run-down. Additionally, it acceleration at mounting bracket to significantly when suddenly accelerated.
